We're looking for General Counsel to serve as the key legal advisor on all major business transactions.

What you'll do:

• Ensure that Hologram conducts business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Create and improve processes, agreements, and document templates by drawing from your legal knowledge and experience to craft the right document or structure for Hologram
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and manage intellectual property protection
• Review, draft, and help negotiate all agreements in partnership with the respective departments
  • Serve as a partner to Revenue and Partnerships on contracts including commercial terms, SLAs, liability, etc.
  • Work with Product + Engineering to ensure compliance with privacy and data security matters
  • Support People on routine and unique employee matters
  • Provide Sales with fast-turnaround review of routine documents, including NDAs + MSAs
• Work with external counsel on debt and equity financing, board measures, IP, regulatory, and other corporate matters
• Build out a team of 2-4 additional employees over the next 12-24 months

Helpful skills and experience:

• Highest ethical standards
• Juris Doctor Degree with a US state bar license
• 6 years total of broad legal experience in the technology space, including corporate and securities, employment, contract, intellectual property, and tax
  • 2-4 years associate experience in the VC practice of large law firm
  • 2-4 years of experience working in an in-house legal team at a fast-growth tech startup
• Experience in supporting Product teams and building technology products, mitigating risk and highlighting legal implications of potential new features
• Experience with global corporations and managing foreign compliance
• Excellent negotiation skills, with ability to keep complex legal negotiations simple and clear
