Position Title: Legal and Compliance Associate
Location: Chicago
Department: Legal and Compliance
Position Summary
Seeking an ambitious self-starter knowledgeable of the brokerage business and/or proprietary trading. As a member of the Legal and Compliance team you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of compliance for a leading Trading Firm and Agency Broker. The limits of the job will be constrained only by the talents of the individual.
Responsibilities• Aid with the conduct of daily internal trading reviews across all areas of the Firm in order to promote compliance with relevant exchange and SEC rules• Review of agency-related issues for Broker-Dealer• Perform various other tasks as needed
Qualifications• 3+ years of experience in Broker-Dealer compliance, law firm or with a Regulator• Bachelor's degree. Legal training is a plus• Series 7 and Series 24 securities licenses are a plus• Strong written communication skills, writing sample may be requested• Strong organizational and analytic skills• Must be able to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment• Self-starter with the ability to stop and start multiple projects with ease

As a database engineer, Kenny helps steer data efforts across the company. Recently, to redesign the structures and processes involved with archiving a large amount of data, she leveraged SQL to overhaul tables to decrease downtime during the archive process. “A portion of my project was written to be flexible enough to be used in different business areas. In this way, we have also planned for future internal projects."

Trading might be the pulse of the firm, but thanks to this 19-year-company veteran and his team, the kitchen gives it heart. Remote work hasn’t diluted the culinary culture, as Kreke and co. have posted recipes to the company website, like brisket chili and chicken shawarma, as they continue to develop their craft. “Hopefully, this time away will spark everyone’s creativity to come up with new ideas when we return,” he said.

The kitchen is ingrained into the culture here. It’s a space to grab a cup of coffee. A place where new employees are introduced to co-workers. Or, for some, a place to take a load off their mind.
