What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred advanced degree or advanced certification in legal profession.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, which may include prior law firm or corporate legal department experience.
  • Skill in the negotiation and establishment of commercial contractual arrangements.
  • Project management, administrative and/or policy experience, particularly in the legal field. Extensive knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Relies on extensive commercial contracting experience, knowledge and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

We’d love to see:

  • Advanced degree or advanced certification in legal profession.
  • Experience in corporate governance, business transactions, and privacy regulations preferred.

Impact you’ll make:

  • Assists legal counsel in development, drafting, analyzing and negotiating contracts.
  • Researches and analyzes legal, regulatory and statutory issues confronting the company and its operations outlining applicable solutions and strategies.
  • Acts as liaison and internal client point of contact regarding various legal issues and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Identifies and interprets regulatory laws applicable to company operations.
  • Assists in maintaining all legal project related materials (e.g. action plans, tracking tools, process documents).
  • Reviews, updates and maintains various contracts.
  • Works in coordination with administrative/operational staff to ensure ongoing commitment to company initiatives and completion of special projects.
  • Proposes solutions to problems identified for discussion with supervising attorneys.
