Insider's spotlight

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Ascent values collaboration between teams. Our open office layout facilitates impromptu brainstorming sessions, and bi-monthly update meetings help everyone stay informed of active projects. We believe that each department can benefit from the exchange of domain knowledge with another, and strive to create an environment where feedback is welcomed.

What makes someone successful on your team?

A successful Ascent dev team member is comfortable solving business and technical problems and isn't afraid to bring up new ideas, no matter how outside the box these may be. He/she also values work-life balance for everyone. This person keeps our company values in mind, has a strong sense of integrity, and prioritizes doing the right thing.

Dani

Data Engineer

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

Our job as a leadership team is to provide context, not solutions. The people working directly on a project are in the best position to make decisions, so we hire smart people and then trust them. We're here to support our teams and to make sure efforts are aligned across the company.
