What You'll Bring
Provide legal services and guidance to assigned TransUnion business units with a focus on information security. You’ll help ensure that TransUnion’s business relationships meet TransUnion’s expectations as it relates to information security, as well as TransUnion’s legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
You’ll help to structure business deals, interpret, draft and negotiate complex contracts, and provide counsel to management regarding issues faced by TransUnion.
You’ll be responsible for anticipating and protecting TransUnion from legal, regulatory and security risk, and advising stakeholders on business risks.
A strong understanding of information security risk assessment and management
Working knowledge/expertise in information security industry frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SSAE16, PCI, and ISO 27001/27002.
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree with 4 to 6 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in a financial, insurance or regulatory environment with strong transactional practice history, preferably with a focus on information security.
Ability to build and foster strong relationships with, and relate well to, peers, staff, and management of all levels of the organization
Impact You'll Make
Review and negotiate all information security related matters in TransUnion’s US partner and customer contracts, including Master Service Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, Partnership Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Statements of Work. Asses to determine and advise senior business and law department personnel on risk.
Interact with TransUnion’s Third Party Risk Management team and other internal clients on security, legal, and business issues, and the implications of alternative positions to enable informed decisions.
Provide advice to stakeholders, including the General Counsel, regarding changes in the law, contracts, or other legal issues that may involve the company’s short or long-term strategic operations
