The Linux sysadmin will work with an awesome infrastructure team that deploys and manages a diverse infrastructure environment with a focus on high-performance, low-latency nextgen security intelligence platform. The Linux sysadmin is an expert with Linux administration and must maintain a strong understanding of networking fundamentals as well as project management.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Modification, administration and hardening of Ubuntu Linux environment in a openstack virtualized environment
• Integration of Linux based applications with Windows Authentication and Authorization
• Work closely with internal business units to understand their requirements and configure system appropriately
• 24x7x365 monitoring of our production corporate network
• Patching production systems and identifying vulnerabilities
• Troubleshoot application issues that arise during deployments and continue to tune environment for performance enhancements and security requirements
• Help internal business units establish processes to manage and maintain systems post-deployment
• Perform vulnerability analysis and remediation
• Provide input to the development team on product enhancements to further streamline future deployments

Required Skills:

• Linux System Administration Skills (Ubuntu preferred)
• Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills
• Deployment & Configuration Automation Experience
• System Monitoring Experience (desired: Zabbix)
• Experience configuring Apache/NGINX web servers
• Experience using mysql/postgres
• Ability to script/automate using Ansible/Vagrant
• Enjoys a fast paced environment
• Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills
• Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands

• Virtualization Experience (desired: libvirt/openstack)
• Demonstrated effective project management experience
• Experience using OSSEC to manage the integrity of endpoints
• Experience with Juju and connecting micro services (if this a route we want to take)
• Windows Server 2012 / 2016 System Administration Experience
