Market Manager- Groupon Getaways
Groupon Getaways Market Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue of Groupon’s core products and developing strong partner hotel relationships in assigned markets. The Getaways Market Manager is an integral part of the sales team that supports Flash and Getaway Tonight deals.

General Responsibilities:
Assist the Getaways Sales Team with contracting new and existing hotel partners from presale to onboarding to launch and through deal sale period
Assist the Getaways Sales Team in prospecting new hotels
Support hotel suppliers in on-boarding, setup, rate and inventory revisions and training on use of Groupon Getaways Extranet
Establish, maintain and negotiate supplier relationships with hotel properties
Secure and negotiate competitive rates and inventory to meet room night targets, and Key Performance Indicators including peak periods
Create and review rate and inventory reports to provide competitive analysis to hotel partners
Conduct weekly competitive analysis for market, and address issues with hotels for rate/inventory, discount and margin
Conduct supplier evaluations, and provide meaningful reporting to partners at the property level
Monitor fulfillment performance by hotel suppliers and address any problems or concerns
Understand occupancy periods for all assigned accounts and corresponding markets
Resolve content, rate, and availability issues
Proactively secure additional inventory over high demand and compression periods
Secure value-adds and promotional offers for deals
Assist with the management of inventory blocks and rates to ensure accuracy of data and consistent supply
Evaluate market trends and competitor activity
Develop and share best practices with other Market Managers and Getaways Sales teams to help optimize market competitiveness
Review the quality of rates, inventory, and content on Groupon Getaways distribution paths against competitors
Participate in contract negotiations as needed
Qualifications:
BA or BS
Minimum of 2 years sales, account or revenue management experience in the hospitality industry
High level negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills required; working knowledge of hotel revenue or inventory management preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, plus a thorough knowledge of Internet technologies
Ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
Strong organizational as well as written and oral communication skills
Ability to establish effective relationships with all levels of management
