Position Summary
The Marketing Content Specialist will be responsible for leading an integrated marketing program that positions Aquilon Energy Services as a trusted expert on the topic of wholesale energy settlement. The individual will work with a mix of internal and external subject experts to identify, develop, package, publish and promote a steady stream of engaging content. This position will require proficiency with managing an aggressive editorial calendar and effectively working with the company leadership, sales and service teams.
Essential Functions and Duties

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time based on business needs. To be successful the Marketing Content Specialist must:
- Collaborate with internal senior executives to identify topics/angles for engaging content ideas.
- Manage a content calendar and lead the development of content materials, including: articles, testimonials, case studies, brochures and product materials.
- Package content in a variety of formats, including: written papers, blog posts, infographics and videos.
- Promote content across multiple marketing channels, including: blog, social media and publications.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience with content development and marketing in either a B2B or agency environment.
- Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
- Experience with managing external writing and creative resources.
- Proven project management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks from program development through execution.
- Knowledge working in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with marketing a SaaS product.
- Experience and/or knowledge with marketing in the Energy industry.
- Experience with Marketing Automation tools.
