What we’re looking for
We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, analytical, resourceful, charismatic, and customer-centric acquisition-focused growth marketer to join our Marketing team.
This role will be responsible for identifying, testing, and establishing new marketing channels to drive customer acquisition and complementing our existing digital strategy. Additionally, you will manage key projects to drive our strategy cohesively across all channels. This role will work across the marketing team to bring target users to M1 Finance. It will involve both day-to-day hands-on and high-level work in strategizing how best to acquire high-value clients across our portfolio of products. You will deeply understand our target customers and identify appropriate channels to reach them, build the business case to test new channels, evaluate and select vendors as appropriate, work across multiple teams to develop great creativity and execute with clear KPIs. When successful, you will scale and optimize channels while continuing to look for new growth opportunities.
Our ideal candidate is a Swiss-Army-Knife acquisition growth marketer with 4-7 years of agency or equivalent brand-side experience including work in several offline channels while also having a deep familiarity with digital channels. Bonus points for those with direct experience managing large-scale TV/OTT, radio/streaming audio, or direct mail marketing programs.
The successful candidate will be able to deeply understand our customer motivations, be a data-driven numbers guru, and able to work cross-functionally to develop world-class creativity. You have a successful track record of meeting and exceeding goals while designing & driving high-performance programs in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of the supporting data & systems. You can work effectively with internal and external partners and find the right combination of resources to get things done efficiently and effectively.
What you’ll do
- Drive and lead acquisition marketing in emerging channels, largely offline but in conjunction with our digital strategy in a customer-first approach
- Evaluate new channels and vendors (and build-buy decisions) to align with our acquisition strategy to acquire customers and potential assets efficiently
- Develop and execute single and multi-channel pilots and tests to validate performance, efficiency, and strategic alignment
- Scale and automate successful channels with ongoing optimization and improvements in both output and efficiency KPIs, managing within budgets
- Work with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop and deliver world-class TV/video assets and advertising, including brand awareness, educational, promotional, direct response, across multiple formats
- Deeply understand our customer segmentation and targets and adapt for use in offline channels
- Work with analytics, data science, and third parties to develop measurement methodologies to evaluate the success of offline marketing and its impact on the entire marketing mix
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in B2C demand generation, lifecycle, growth, or email marketing in a high-performing team and company or agency with aggressive growth goals
- A track-record of driving business results through effective multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Proven experience in managing, A/B testing, and scaling one or more acquisition marketing channels while staying on top of the newest trends and advances in digital and offline marketing (and the overlap of the two)
- Equal parts strategic and tactical, with a proven ability to develop strategic marketing plans and rolling up your sleeves to make it happen
- An analytical and structured thinker who can conceive salient ideas from complex information and clearly communicate those ideas to stakeholders
- Skilled at planning, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities, while in tight collaboration with key stakeholders
- Takes as much pride in seeing their team win as they do in seeing themselves win.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo, while seeing the positive and opportunities in challenges
- Experience and understanding of finance or the finance industry is a plus. Demonstrated interest in personal finance is a big plus
- Direct experience with linear TV, connected TV, OTT, radio, streaming, direct mail, and/or OOH advertising and buying is a big plus
- An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo, while seeing the positive and opportunities in challenges
