So, what’s the role?

We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to join Kin’s Growth Marketing Team. You will test new ways to acquire customers and grow Kin’s Marketing footprint.  This includes developing and managing Kin’s lead generation channels, and driving the strategic planning around scaling these channels both in size and efficiency. You will also explore new channels, such as partnership and affiliate marketing.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, data-driven team. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of auction-based lead generation platforms, real-time bidding optimization, experience working with lead distribution software, and is an analytical problem solver.

A day in the life could include: 

  • Execute end-to-end set-up, optimizations, and maintenance of lead buying campaigns 
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to forecast campaign results, perform optimizations, and drive success
  • Partner with other channel owners and marketing teammates to develop a digital advertising strategy with the goal of driving new customer acquisition and brand awareness
  • Conduct thorough and continuous experimentation and A/B testing to improve effectiveness and efficiency 
  • Collaborate with the larger marketing team to create new ad creative, copy, and landing pages to increase performance 
  • Perform as an active through-leader on the home insurance lead landscape; be an internal resource for lead marketplace trends, features, and best practices
  • Work cross functionally with different teams to experiment with segmentation, provide personalized messages to prospects, and improve conversion rate, landing page experience, reporting and strategy
  • Come up with new channel strategies to acquire customers 
  • Define and track campaign success metrics

I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?

  • 3-6 years of experience running large scale lead buying campaigns 
  • Understanding of acquisition strategy and direct response campaigns 
  • Ability to successfully communicate cross-functionally 
  • Understands the concepts of user segmentation, personas, customer journeys, and lifetime value
  • Experience growing custom acquisition through performance-based channels (affiliate, partnership marketing, etc) 
  • Familiarity with a range of marketing technologies and analytics tools 
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills and a motivated self-started with the ability to handle multiple priorities and expectations

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working at a fast-paced growth-stage company or an agency 
  • Deep knowledge and mastery of insurance lead distribution
  • Experience with Looker or other data visualization tools
  • SQL experience

Located in the historic Merchandise Mart Plaza, Kin's office is located directly off the Brown and Purple line stops, overlooking the Chicago River.
