What You'll Bring
Minimum 10 years of experience managing interactive projects; consulting experience a plus
Strong project management experience including ability to manage large, complex, or ambiguous projects
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders
Extremely trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion
Strong ability to build presentations and communicate content/vision clearly and thoroughly to a large audience of stakeholders
Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple project coordinators, leads and/or managers at one time
Poised and self-assured, comfortable interacting with associates from all levels of the organization and ability to maintain composure when dealing with challenging time constraints
Ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic team in a rapidly changing environment
Sound business judgment and problem solving and influencing skills.
Must be able to simultaneously focus on big picture, details and driving results
Impact You'll Make
This Strategy and Planning role reports into the Sales Effectiveness and Experience Team and contributes to TransUnion’s success by facilitating the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional initiatives supporting TransUnion Diversified Markets (DM) Sales teams. It leverages the matrix to ensure successful execution of internal initiatives and partners closely with leadership to advance the team’s business strategy and create a more prepared and efficient sales organization (e.g., 3YP, sales enablement). This role also plays a critical part in ensuring the follow-through, proper execution of strategic initiatives and the mediation of risks impacting the team’s ability to execute against the strategy and goals. This role provides strategic, tactical, and analytical support to management and regularly liaises with various internal departments and external parties to meet the group’s goals. The team values attention to detail, the flexibility to move between projects that fluctuate in priority, and the ability to assert one’s point of view while maintaining a team focus. This role will organize, align, communicate, and execute strategic priorities to ensure overall efficient and consistent operations for the teams.
Project management: oversee and manage highly visible projects for strategic initiatives. Plan, prioritize and drive projects and sub-projects with the senior management team to meet the overall organization goals and objectives. Ensure that projects are appropriately staffed, including both associate and contract resources.
Process improvements: responsible for identifying and improving gaps in existing processes while defining (the future) and managing new processes required to meet the group’s goals and objectives. Charged with strengthening and leading an effective, collaborative, and scalable operational model for the team.
Analytics: advance analytics capability in order to create a metric-driven department. Use data to influence business decisions and improve operations.
Team Onboarding and Development: partner with HR and Sales Effectiveness & Experience to improve seller onboarding process and build plans for associates to assist in career planning. Create an environment that supports training and growth opportunities.
Planning: manage agenda creation, content, and stakeholder involvement for all staff meetings, quarterly business reviews, Town Halls, National Sales Meetings, etc. for SVP, DM Sales. Identify, prioritize, and report on outcomes to ensure engagement and action.
Executive Communications: create executive communications and presentations across audiences including executives, board members, investors, and associates.
Matrix Management: collaborate and coordinate interactions across matrix partners (e.g., Solutions, compensation, customer insights, onboarding, etc.) in order to operationalize the overall vision. Act as the liaison between senior leadership and associates providing strategic guidance to the SVP, DM Sales and / or other senior leaders.
Annual Planning: help shape the annual business strategy and lead the strategic planning process for DM Sales to fully engage stakeholders and drive team alignment and ownership in growth goals and critical areas of focus. Maintain the planning documents, key business unit metrics, and performance reporting. Ensure alignment of DM Sales strategy with broader U.S. Markets and enterprise strategies.
