We are seeking a self-driven individual to help develop and refine Avant’s marketing partners across all Avant’s product offerings. The position will be heavily focused on working with external partners/affiliates/vendors and collaborating with internal stakeholders and teams. This individual will be responsible for a large portion of Avant’s acquisition pipeline. It is high visibility, and a great opportunity for growth and channel management experience. 

What you do at Avant:

  • Develop relationships with existing affiliate partners, monitor and stay up to date with their goals and initiatives. Uncover new opportunities to grow existing partnerships.
  • Assist in sourcing new partnerships, including direct acquisition, decline monetization, joint-marketing partnerships, and any relevant tech vendors. 
  • Onboard, build, monitor and report channel KPI’s on a set frequency and manage up issues or opportunities. 
  • Optimize affiliate conversion funnels, collaborate experiments and tests. We believe in iteration and failing better, faster. 
  • Independently recognize and drive communication across internal and external business stakeholders.
  • Manage project roadmaps. Align on goals, set milestones, create realistic deadlines and hold yourself + others accountable to hit those deadlines.
  • Facilitate productive cross-team collaboration to support channel optimization/enhancements (ie. with product teams, business development, tech, etc.).
  • Solve difficult problems in a collaborative and supportive environment. Work across functions to remove roadblocks and ensure dependent tasks are managed and completed on time.

Why you are a fit for Avant:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 2-4 years of work experience in an analytical or operations roles
  • Proficiency in Excel or a similar analytical tool 
  • Understands the value of clear and concise communication; ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills (ie. Affiliate partner meetings + Powerpoint) 
  • Knows to break down complex issues into manageable pieces
  • Have a proven track record of delivering qualified traffic and results
  • Basic understanding of SQL, advanced knowledge is a plus!
  • Naturally detail-oriented; you make sure that all I’s are dotted and t’s are crossed
  • A self-motivated individual; takes accountability and ownership of their work
  • Familiarity with personal finance topics and strong interest and passion for the “fintech” industry

Because of the nature of my role, I’m constantly collaborating and working with other teams. Program management is like being a traffic cop, at the intersections of every vertical within the business unit; I stop and start traffic, provide estimates on travel time, and route drivers down the right street if they get lost.

The new projects we launch for our bank partners are really exciting because of all the learning opportunities they present. These projects require a substantial amount of collaboration between teams, so everyone is growing and learning from one another as we go. It's pretty awesome!

70% of my day is working on code. 20% of my day is spent on unblocking other junior engineers or reviewing code. 10% of my day is in meetings. 100% of my day is spent having fun! =)
