About the Team:
The Marketing function will reinvigorate the Illinois Lottery brand through the use of innovative, insight-led marketing techniques. This will include the development of a full range of communications, enhanced game propositions as well as social media and digital marketing.
Position Overview:
Within Camelot Illinois, the Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for supporting Brand Managers who own the major product categories within the Lottery with responsibility for: brand marketing, strategic and annual planning, sales budgeting and KPI objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of engaging and customer-centric propositions and take-to-market plans for our IL Lottery Games portfolio.
- Support the creation and delivery of the annual marketing plan, encompassing objectives, strategies and key activities for each game and the overall category.
- Aid in the setting of brand and financial KPIs for the category, interpreting consumer research, sales data, business priorities and the trading environment.
- Develop high quality marketing campaigns, built around consumer needs and experiences that apply multi-sourced consumer insight to business problems and planning.
- Ensure brand strategies are being implemented through the line by influencing interdependent departments as well as external creative and media agencies.
- Monitor and analyze weekly sales in order to identify issues and trends, and develop tactical and contingency plans where required.
- Support the New Product Development team to define and quantify opportunities for innovation and product evolution, including the development of concepts and propositions.
- Interpret media audit findings, econometric data and media buying briefs to optimize Draw Games marketing
- Develop hypotheses and conclusions from multiple data sources to create robust plans, and the assumptions that underpin them.
- Define brand and communication metrics for campaign activities and evaluate performance against objectives.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 plus years brand and/or product marketing experience required.
- Experience developing creative holistic marketing campaigns across multiple consumer touch-points to drive positive, demonstrable change.
- Assist in the brand/product marketing experience including agency/supplier relationship management within a recognized consumer driven market.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in the CPG, Lottery and/or Gaming industry preferred.
- Knowledge of the commercial aspects of marketing program management, demonstrated through consideration of financial implications of planned actions and accurate management of P&L.
- Knowledge of communication evaluation processes and brand performance metrics.
- Excellent written and numerical attention to detail.
- Experience working within the Microsoft Suites and/or Google Suite technologies.
