This role is expected to help define the opportunity space for a brand’s digital transformation, identify a roadmap of key initiatives and guide/support the implementation of specific digital solutions that deliver against the identified opportunity. As such, the role will be closely collaborating with UI/UX, Analytics, Content and Media counterparts.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Engagement Definition: Collaborate with clients to identify key strategic business and marketing challenges and help define the role that digital can play in addressing them.

  • Strategy Development: Help define a compelling strategic vision that matches business objectives to market & consumer needs, define digital roadmaps (“how do we get from here to there”) and guide development of digital experiences and marcom initiatives.

  • Insights Development: Define and conduct (or partner with clients to conduct) appropriate research activities, synthesize findings into consumer & digital behavior insights, and then connect the dots into a cohesive strategy that guides both digital experience design (web site development, app development etc.) and marcom program development.

  • Omni-channel Experience Planning: Provide an insights-based assessment & mapping of the current path-to-purchase as well as a vision of the ideal ‘future state’ and the offline/online opportunities to optimize the experience to benefit both consumers and the brand.

  • Audience Profiling: Using research, define key audience segments and develop in-depth personas (demographic, attitudinal & behavioral profiles as well as relevant use cases) to inform digital experience design (UI/UX) and digital program development (media & creative).

  • Measurement & Metrics: Work with analytics, media & tech teams to collect data, define KPI’s, evaluate business impact of digital programs and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • People & Team Management: Build strategy team expertise by mentoring junior strategists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate the stature of strategy.

Other Attributes:

  • Catalyst: gets to answers quickly through “hypothesis” approach (top/down & bottom/up)

  • Creative Thinker: adept at using insights to frame and solve problems in novel ways

  • Storyteller: adept at articulating a compelling and well-rationalized narrative

  • Doer: has a bias towards actionable vs. academic strategy frameworks & solutions

  • Simplifier: can cut through complexity to create clarity

  • Trusted Advisor: excellent comms skills and dynamic presenter to senior-level clients

  • Creative & Digital Project Briefs

  • Strategy-related content for new business RFI’s and RFP’s

Specific Experience:
