Primary Function:
Zoro is seeking a motivated, curious and data-savvy merchandiser with demonstrated experience developing strategies that drive category growth. The Associate Manager, Digital Merchandising is responsible for developing and executing cross-category strategies to improve customer's navigation and findability onsite. With a proven track record of success analyzing customer behavior, business performance and digital metrics, the Associate Manager will be leading the recommendations for on-site features, cross-category navigation improvements and content enrichment to Digital Merchandising Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Improve cross- category performance including but not limited to: optimized product presentations, navigational hierarchy, attribute facets, onsite search relevancy, competitive research while establishing deep understanding of customer category buying behaviors
- Establish and implement cohesive guidelines that lead to consistency in execution and navigation throughout the customer journey
- Report quarterly on category performance including actual vs. goal, tactic & strategy execution, analytic insights and key action items
- Identify content enrichment opportunities across categories and ensure sequencing enables ongoing execution efforts
- Conducting user and competitive research, implementing tests, analyzing shopping behavior and doing post-implementation analysis
- Optimize the search experience by monitoring category search trends and performance, improve product data to bring back most relevant results, merchandise result sets including re-directs and biasing as well as manage facet display
- Consistently collaborate with teams across the organization to grow category including but not limited to: Product, UX/UI, Analytics, IT, Pricing and Acquisition
- Present cross-functionally and to leadership on category insights, performance and lessons learner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years experience in digital merchandising, B2B or large assortment experience preferred
- 1-2 years experience in industrial supply or MRO space preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Advanced, holistic knowledge of eCommerce environment
- Advanced knowledge in analytics including Google Analytics, Big Query
- Advanced knowledge of product information management systems (PIM), search and content management systems (CMS)
- Curious mindset with a strong desire to find new ways to improve the customer experience, ask though provoking questions and challenge the status quo
- Strong working knowledge in applying data to drive strategies and business decisions
