Associate Manager, Experiential Marketing: Creating engaging experiences is inherent to the RXBAR brand. From sampling at a local event to 360 experiential campaigns to influencer events, sales tradeshows, CrossFit Games and more, RXBAR creates innovative experiences for a variety of audiences to drive awareness, trial, and brand love.

The Associate Manager, Experiential Marketing will be the liaison between the Chicago-based Experiential Team and the Field Marketing Team with presence in eleven (and growing) cities. Their main charge is to build an infrastructure to help translate the brand into the field. By creating efficient systems and processes, this role will help provide resources and tools applicable to our respective markets, allowing the Field Marketing Team to bring campaigns and larger brand activations to life in multiple cities across the US and Canada. This person will partner with the Field Marketing Team to understand their needs and ensure they have the right assets to execute with excellence and ensure all activations are on brand and have a level of consistency.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, curious, great at operations and project management with the ability to foster and maintain great relationships and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This dynamic position will report to the Manager of Experiential Marketing, will sit under the Communications team and partner with cross-functional teams, specifically the RXBAR Experiential Team, Creative Team and Field Marketing team.

General Functions + Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between the HQ-based Experiential and Field Marketing Team
    • Be conduit of two-way information sharing between Experiential Team and Field Team
    • This role must remain up to date with latest brand initiatives including campaigns, creative direction, tone/voice + look/feel. They will work with our agency/production partner to provide updates and ensure all field asset creative is current and consistent.
    • Create and maintain catalog of tools and resources for Field Team use
    • Assist in developing playbooks, tools and assets for Field Team that ladder up to greater brand & experiential strategy
    • Support coordination of 360/multi-channel events in Field markets
    • Help develop and produce the right assets and event set ups, provide guides on how to use them, help manage partners and vendors to ensure projects stay on track
    • Understand business objectives of Field Marketing Managers and Territory Sales Managers in each region
    • Research and provide recommendations on new systems or tools the Field Team could utilize to improve management of program insights, production, logistics, execution and measurement
  • Support Manager of Experiential on overall developing new ways of working to maximize output of all executions
  • Collaborate with Experiential Team on understanding how national activations come to life in the field
  • Partner with Director of Field Marketing on creation of toolkit to support opening of new Field Marketing markets
  • Observe latest trends in consumer and experiential marketing and share insights with broader team
  • Partner with Customer Retention Manager to place orders for swag as needed in the field
  • Develop strong relationships with agency partners and vendors
  • Actively support a positive, proactive, and results-oriented work environment 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required
  • 5-7 years’ experience in events, experiential marketing industry, field marketing, project management or an operations related field requiring creative concepting, brainstorming, and implementation,
  • Must be a clear communicator, project manager and consensus builder, highly organized, very detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and keep things on track
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and ability thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Ability to develop a solid relationship with and foster collaboration with Field Marketing teams
  • Highest level of professionalism and self-confidence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled at presenting ideas clearly and listening effectively
  • Acute understanding of and passion for social media including key platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Ability to activate influencers across multiple verticals and platforms
  • Web research savvy, Microsoft Office and Apple Keynote proficiency
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
