Associate Manager, Social Media Marketing

Position Summary
The Associate Manager, Social Media Marketing & Communications is a newly created role offering a unique opportunity to fuel our growth by shaping our fast-growing company’s social media presence, building a strong community among our passionate customer-base, and discovering new ways to drive customer advocacy. Working with a cross-functional team across communications, marketing, culinary, design, product, and customer service, you’ll work on a variety of projects that will drive our brand communication and marketing plans forward.

How you’ll spend your time at Tovala
- Formulate and execute the brand's organic social strategy (integrating with existing paid activations) that aligns with our marketing calendar, supports our brand communication goals, and helps build the brand.
- Manage daily operations of social channels, including content strategy, calendar development and scheduling, engagement and augmentation based on performance.
- Work with in-house creative team, photographers, videographers, and culinary team to coordinate content production (e.g. photo, video, stop-motion, graphics) that aligns with our brand guidelines. Bonus if skilled in self-created content.
- Support the customer service team in developing a holistic community engagement and advocacy plan; help to ensure timely responses to comments and online reviews.
- Work with communications and affiliate marketing teams to manage influencer marketing and partnership strategies, including building relationships with creators and brands, partner outreach, negotiations & program execution.
- Support Brand Communications Sr. Manager with select initiatives including but not limited to creative writing, strategy development, event planning etc.
- Actively monitor social trends and best practices, sharing insights to drive continuous improvement and brainstorm new ways to engage with Tovala’s community.
- Create performance reports for social media, influencer & marketing campaigns and share out results, trends and insights.
About you
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can adapt quickly to change, and tackle ambiguity with a positive attitude and resourcefulness.
- You have a strong knowledge and passion for connecting with people on social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- You have experience with integrated creator and affiliate programs.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You are a creative storyteller that knows what content resonates with consumers.
- You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- You have strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and synthesize quantitative data.

- You love food, whether that means cooking it, eating it, frequently pressing your nose against deli windows, or lusting after soft-serve on Instagram. All fair game.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
- You have 3-5 years of direct experience implementing social media strategies, community management, and/or influencer campaigns.
- Examples of social media marketing implementation and expertise.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of all relevant social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other emerging technologies.
- Experience with photography, videography, and other visual content creation is a huge plus.
