DRW is a technology-driven, diversified principal trading firm. We trade our own capital at our own risk, across a broad range of asset classes, instruments and strategies, in financial markets around the world. As the markets have evolved over the past 25 years, so has DRW – maximizing opportunities to include real estate, cryptoassets and venture capital. With approximately 1,000 employees at our Chicago headquarters and eight global offices, we work together to solve complex problems, challenge consensus and deliver meaningful results. It’s a place of high expectations, deep curiosity and thoughtful collaboration.

As a Brand & Communications Coordinator, you will help DRW and our affiliated companies (Convexity Properties, Cumberland and DRW Venture Capital) build a strong brand and reputation by applying your passion for brand marketing and communications. You will join a small team that is passionate about telling the stories of our people, businesses and ideas. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate on projects across all areas of communications. This role will be an exciting challenge for a growing communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and welcomes the opportunity to work on projects that add the most value to the firm.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Support DRW social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook. This includes sourcing content, managing overall content strategy and staying current on best practices and trends.
  • Participate in creation and execution of the strategy for DRW Venture Capital and Convexity, including identifying speaking opportunities, maintaining websites and assisting in external media outreach.
  • Help ensure strong internal communications, including writing content for the intranet, creating digital signage for the office, managing pieces of the firm’s Annual Meeting and supporting events such as the Speaker Series.
  • Serve as a resource to DRW’s recruiting team, including collaborating on specific social content and managing pieces of the campus recruiting website.
  • Assist in execution of firm’s community relations commitments including planning volunteering events, hosting on-site roundtables and other initiatives to engage employees.
  • Manage media monitoring process and dissemination of relevant external content to leadership.
  • Oversee the quarterly content audit, including creating and maintaining executive bios, photo library, key messages, fact sheets and brand elements.
  • Manage measurement, reporting and analytics to ensure desired outcomes and manage priorities.

You’ll be right at home if you have:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in brand marketing, PR or strategic communications. Agency experience preferred, but not required
  • Top notch writing and storytelling skills
  • A flexible approach to getting the job done
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Well-versed in PowerPoint; bonus points for familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva and Illustrator
  • Interest in continual improvement and growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR, Communications, Marketing or related field
