Department Overview
The Commercial Marketing Team markets the extended Motorola Solutions ecosystem to non-public safety industries supporting the sales teams of our partner community as well as internal channel sellers through strategic campaigns and high value asset generation.
Job Description

The Commercial Markets Solution Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving overall solution and ecosystem messaging to key verticals within our Motorola Solutions Commercial Markets. As a Solution Marketing Manager you will play a critical role in telling our Safety Reimagined story, helping to position our solutions the right way to the right people. You will be responsible for defining, positioning, and driving the message, strategy, and content to engage buyers of those solutions.

The Solution Marketing Manager is a primary advocate for the end-to-end benefits of our solutions, and is instrumental in crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for our Safety Reimagined story. This role works closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Sales, and other Marketing team members to deliver messaging, content, and campaigns that drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and expanding the overall Safety Reimagined program across verticals

  • Support product launches and sales priorities within North America from a vertical solutions perspective

  • Be an expert on the buyers, influencers, and the buyer’s journey: document the buying process, buying criteria, and the key pain points the buyers are trying to address for a subset of commercial verticals.

  • Work cross functionally with product, operations, supply chain, finance, legal, sales, and other marketing team members to build and deliver differentiated messaging and positioning for the Safety Reimagined ecosystem.

  • Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders about ecosystem benefits

  • Create high value content (e.g. sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, website copy, blog posts, sales and executive presentation decks) and work with the Integrated Marketing, Sales, Product, Business Development, and Executive teams to activate the content as appropriate to run demand generation campaigns

  • Assist members of our sales team on calls with prospects when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product and solution messaging.

  • Be a thought leader and evangelist for our Safety Reimagined ecosystem, including internal training, external speaking engagements, and other relevant sales and marketing engagements.

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields

  • Hold a positive, enthusiastic and proactive mindset during creative and problem solving situations

  • Past experience in product and solution marketing, and/or product management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills -- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role.

  • Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity.

  • Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, powerpoint/slides proficiency

  • HTML, Google Analytics, HootSuite proficiency preferred but not required
