Collective Health is looking for a PR & Communications Manager to join its Communications and Marcom team – someone with exceptional media relationships who can define and execute the overall communications strategy at Collective Health. The Communications Manager plays a meaningful role in shaping our brand, reinforcing this with all external audiences. They’re one of Collective Health’s most passionate advocates and want to build our reputation as one of the most exciting, compelling, diverse, and mission driven companies in healthcare and technology.

In this role, you will serve as a key partner to our Head of Communications, Product Marketing & Marketing Communications, and will be responsible for managing external product and corporate communications, developing national communication strategies that align to our strategic imperatives, and executing communication programs that reinforce Collective Health’s mission-driven culture. The ideal candidate will be able to work cross-functionally and is ready to help lead our external PR agency to success.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop creative, effective approaches to exciting, sometimes challenging, communications challenges in an emerging market that impacts businesses/organizations and consumers;
  • Execute a broad range of external communications programs and initiatives in support of Collective Health's goals;
  • Work across internal teams and external partners, customers, members (users), to develop and execute strategic marketing and communications programs;
  • Develop messaging to establish consistent delivery and positioning;
  • Build and own our media strategy, proactively mapping out key milestones, stories, events, and announcements;
  • Establish and foster relationships with local, regional and national media by serving as a trusted source and educator about Collective Health;
  • Work closely with executive team and leaders across Product/Dev, Customer Experience, Partnerships, Client Success, Commercial, and other stakeholders to drive strategy, campaign planning, execution, and measurement;
  • Partner with others to develop and drive speaking, awards, and analyst relations programs and coordinate with other parts of events marketing;
  • Manage inbound inquiries, and drive awareness among key media and influencers of Collective Health's impact on customers and the communities we impact;
  • Deliver communications counsel to colleagues on the marketing and executive teams on both short- and long-term challenges and opportunities, earning trust across many parts of Collective Health's business;
  • Drive issues management programs with the Head of Communications and serve as key communications member on crisis issues
  • Identify appropriate social media communications to build a best-in-class strategy, in partnership with the Content/Social, Demand Generation, and Brand teams

Your skills include:

  • 7+ years of related experience within PR, communications, journalism or a related field;
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; business, communications, or journalism preferred;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; can formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it;
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple concurrent projects, manage ambiguity, and be flexible in your approach;
  • Strong relationships with business, tech, and/or healthcare media, journalists and analysts. Relationships with conference/event organizers a plus;
  • Has elevated brand, product or executive public profiles via external communications / PR initiatives
  • Ability to write quickly, come up with core storylines through distilling concepts into key messages for multiple audiences, across industries;
  • Critical and strategic thinker and creative problem solver;
  • Excellent project and risk management skills;
  • Ability to calmly respond to unexpected or shifting issues/priorities
  • Ideal candidate will have a mixture of B2B and B2C experience with Tech PR and/or Health care PR a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results (reliable, proactive, able to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment)
