Company Overview

StratEx exists to turn complex into simple, empowering restaurants to create a better operations experience for managers and employees.

We are an industry leader in restaurant payroll, HR, benefits and labor management software as well as HR consultation. We find our purpose by connecting to our customer’s goals and ensuring smooth, reliable solutions, to help them reach those goals more quickly.

StratEx prides itself on being an employer of choice. We are a very tight-knit family and that family means everything to us. We relish the challenge of helping restaurants create their story, with a spirit of collaboration, innovation and partnership.

Position Summary

We are looking for a strategic-minded problem-solver able to market our suite of services and solutions, with an eye toward continual innovation. The team you will join is newly formed and inspired by an increased company focus on listening to “the voice of the customer,” and unifying branding & messaging across business units to respond to that voice.  Content will be derived from best-practice Customer Experience design and will report to the Head of Customer Experience.

You must be able to deeply understand a variety of restaurant personas, including what piece of the business they own and how they can best be served by our solutions. You also must be able to understand the nuances of sophisticated technology and clearly disseminate the value in concise, written form: solutions over features.

You’ll be responsible for building out multi-channel communications (social, digital, media, etc.), doing market research and maximizing visibility for large scale company initiatives, including new product offerings. This is an incredible opportunity to play a major role on a team that will only continue to grow.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Write original content appealing to restaurant buyers and SaaS thought leaders

  • Edit colleague press releases and blog entries for maximum impact

  • Connect to industry thought leaders and journalists in-person, on the phone and via written communications, to find ways to increase StratEx visibility and expand promoter networks

  • Monitor industry news and proactively identify material opportunities for StratEx

  • Manage social media communication in line with branding standards

  • Participate in development of client case studies, journeys, and user groups

  • Manage the company’s internal newsletter.

  • Conduct general market research activities by collecting and analyzing data to better describe our organization, the industries we serve, as well as our customers and business partners

  • Create client-and executive-ready materials (e.g., agendas, memos, discussion guides, marketing collateral, and PowerPoint presentations) to deliver (and reinforce) key messages and make key decisions with stakeholders

  • Research and gather information to create valuable, original content such as byline articles, press releases, and blog posts

  • Conceptual understanding of SEO and consumer search behavior

  • Regular and predictable attendance

Job Competencies:

 Requirements:

  • Experience supporting SaaS go-to-market campaigns and increasing industry visibility for growing companies

  • Experience with content marketing and publishing tools, as well as MS Office

  • An interest in design-thinking and consumer behavior

  • Restaurant B2B experience, a plus

  • Experience telling product and customer stories

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment

  • Ability to self-start and think critically

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
