Job Description
We were inspired to build Tiv because the big banks and card companies have ignored gamers for
far too long. Coming from the gaming community, we are passionate about building products that
enhance the enjoyment all gamers get from doing what they love. The gaming community is at the
heart of every decision we make, and this role is critical to our ability to engage and interact with this
community daily.
To achieve this, we need someone who loves to connect with people and brings groups together.
You should consider yourself a creative storyteller, strategic thinker and skilled communicator with a
deep understanding of both the gaming community and industry. You’ll get to work with Tiv’s
founders to build, shape and support Tiv’s community, but you’ll also have a ton of autonomy,
ownership and flexibility. We’ll look to you to oversee a cohesive community strategy, develop new
and exciting ways to engage our community, and bring delight and fun to Tiv along the way. In time,
you’ll bring on additional passionate and creative marketers to further scale Tiv’s community
function and lead a dedicated team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Grow an overarching community strategy across multiple channels to engage and support Tiv cardmembers
  • Measure the performance and success of community efforts to hone and inform best practices
  • Define and implement strategies for community growth and development
  • Ideate, create, and schedule daily content across all relevant channels
  • Collaborate with internal teams on community feedback
  • Identify ways to engage the communities of Tiv partners, e.g. game platforms, publishers, studios and hardware/peripheral companies to support new and/or ongoing initiatives
  • Establish and promote community guidelines to foster an inclusive, safe environment
  • Champion and embody the distinct values and tone of Tiv


  • 3 – 5+ years experience in similar roles
  • Experience building and scaling community programs for a beloved brand/platform
  • Pulse on gaming and internet culture, new trends and topics
  • Understanding of or experience working with influencers and content creators
  • Big-picture, high-level vision to connect the dots
  • Deep understanding of social voice
  • Track record as a great people manager
  • Curiosity to learn and a desire to act and get (all kinds of) things done
  • Instinct for troubleshooting – especially when things get chaotic
  • Understanding of community management best practices
  • Passion for gaming
  • Low-ego, high energy style

Bonus Points

  • Creative or non-traditional background
  • Knowledge of communities including Twitch, YouTube, Discord and Reddit
  • Experience with creative tools and design software
  • Familiarity with NPS or brand tracking
  • Experience with social media management tools
  • Side hobbies or projects related to community and/or gaming
