Job Description
The Global Communications team is the voice of Motorola Solutions, telling the company’s story of transformation and progress to employees, reporters, and other stakeholders. We work strategically and collaboratively with colleagues around the world, finding the most compelling stories to tell and bringing them to life in pitches, news releases, blog posts, infographics, social media posts, videos, and more.
Seeking an experienced brand expert to craft and communicate our brand story and infuse it into key areas across our company. You are a gifted narrator and exceptional writer with a strong creative aptitude and eye. You are able to effortlessly communicate what we do, who we serve, and the value we deliver to the world - both visually and via the written word.
Strong creative aptitude with the ability to direct, guide, and influence creative agencies on our brand
Imaginative and inspiring creative concept and idea generator
Ensures all work fits with branding and follows our brand strategy.
Writes narratives and creates assets that articulate the value we deliver to the world - who we are, what we do, and why that matters
Crafts narratives for the investment community that highlights why our business matters, where we’re planning to take it, and what needs our business addresses.
Act as an internal reporter, seeking out news from all corners of the company and turning it into compelling stories for use with multiple audiences
Research, develop and implement strategies that get our company name 'out there’.
Serves as the 'go-to' for looking ahead at positioning the company.
Develops strategic messaging that articulates our corporate position
Monitor business and competitor news to identify emerging trends, issues, and storylines
Works cross-functionally and liaise with key stakeholders and departments to improve our overall brand and brand presence
Curator of our assets - photos, b-roll, core brand assets, etc.
Develop strategies and brand campaigns to build the credibility of our brand.
Manages a brand editorial calendar

Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, public relations or a related field.
Minimum 4-5 years experience in marketing, corporate communications, or public relations agency experience
Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills for both print and electronic media, with demonstrated ability to write about technology in a user-friendly and meaningful way
Adobe CC aptitude a plus
Strong collaboration, analytical and persuasion skills, but also able to work independently
Strong project management and organizational skills; able to multi-task, managing multiple projects simultaneously while delivering a quality product within tight deadlines
Highly adaptable and responsive to change
Skilled at building productive, positive working relationships internally and externally, at all levels of the organization
Experience working in a large, complex organization
Experience in the technology sector is a plus
B2B marketing experience a plus
Experience/knowledge of government or public safety market a plus
Must be able to submit a strong portfolio of written and/or visual work to illustrate storytelling and writing skills
Basic Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of experience or advanced degree and 2+ years
