As Digital Asset Managers, we are responsible for maintaining the organization and accessibility of all imagery, photography, videos, marketing collateral, and copy. Our DAM system is the key to surfacing Groupon’s content to the site via people and internal tools. In order to sustain functionality and efficiency, our library requires ongoing and strategic maintenance, as well as agile adaptability and scalability. We work collaborate with internal partners and project managers to make all content be accessible and usable, while strategizing creative and operational big-picture initiatives. DAM is at the heart of Groupon content.

Responsibilities:

  • You will develop information architecture for incorporation and ingestion of new asset types into the DAM system including marketing collateral, in-house product photography, copy documents, and video assets
  • Evaluate and update library quality standards, conduct routine audits for alignment with critical tool integration functionality on a global scale
  • Improve Groupon’s metadata and taxonomy and align it with overall business taxonomies
  • Build and deliver system training and onboarding for North America and international users
  • Create reports on users, image usage, in-house photo performance, and search trends
  • Understand and execute on larger, inter-departmental projects alongside Project Manager
  • Identify workflow efficiencies in file handling and retouching communication for the in-house studio and propose process improvements
  • Document all image quality standards and make available to the company at large
  • With Marketing and Tech teams, demonstrate and optimize DAM functions with internal systems and tools
  • Establish yourself as a go-to resource for Groupon imagery and digital asset management
  • In collaboration with the DAM Manager, you will strategize and document lifecycle for all asset types
  • Stay informed of the latest trends and conduct routine user experience research to ensure the DAM system is meeting the needs of all users
  • Facilitate research of stock image history inquiries from Legal or other teams

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years asset and/or file management experience
  • Experience handling assets or working with information technology systems
  • BS or MS in Library Sciences or Information Architecture a plus
  • You enjoy work that provides a sense of order and organization to systems and teams
  • Familiarity with how photo studio workflows intersect with file management
  • Understanding of the creation, maintenance, and long-term migration of digital assets
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • You are nimble and adapt to shifting priorities, at times under tight deadlines
  • Creative thinker with the confidence to share ideas with the team and ability to influence positive workflow changes on a large scale
