DIGITAL MARKETING CONTENT PRODUCT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Digital Marketing Content Product Manager works as leader within Cat Digital’s Digital Marketing and CRM Team. Digital products within this portfolio include: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Product Information Management (PIM), Cat Asset Library (CAL), publishing / syndication services, and Enterprise Search. The portfolio works directly with business units, other Cat Digital Product Owners, and Marketing & Brand to support enterprise services and prime product goals for increasing logged-in customers, Cat.com net promoter scores, marketable contacts, increasing high quality leads, web accessibility compliance, and reducing enterprise content costs.…. Additionally, this role is accountable for delivering the enterprise Marketing Digital Asset Management Strategy.
The Product Manager is accountable for: prioritizing requirements across segments, managing product roadmaps & backlog, managing development budgets, delivering business requirements in direct collaboration with system engineering, platform architects and data owners. Additionally, the role works with business partners to ensure product adoption that yields high enterprise value.
Job Related Statistics
- Manages between 7-10 employees and 4-8 agency employees
- They are accountable for driving the product roadmap for multi-year, multi-million-dollar digital platform development for both customer, dealer, and employee applications
- Reports to Digital Marketing & CRM Digital Product Division Manager
- Enterprise Portfolio impact: Cat.com, Dealer.cat.com, Caterpillar.com, internal websites, Digital Asset Management for Cat & Non-Cat Product lines & Parts, and Product Information Management for Cat, Non-Cat Product Lines, and Parts.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team
- Responsible for acting as Product Manager for larger, more complex projects with high value to the organization
- Responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the project
- Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team
- Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have
- Responsible for the vision of what is to be built, and conveying that vision to the team
- Owns the acceptance criteria of Digital Platform Epics
- Responsible for elaboration of epics and features to get those to Definition of Ready (DoR)
- Collaborates with Business Analysts and Scrum Masters
- Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
- Responsible for making decisions on release dates and content
- Represent the customer, interfacing and engaging with the customer
- Participate in Sprint Planning meetings, Reveals and Retrospectives
- Inspect the product progress at and accept or reject the delivery of Epics and Features.
- Communicates the releases of Digital Platform to stakeholder and customers
- Be a good role model of Scrum values; understand the framework and the roles of each team member
- Be a champion for the agile community and help to further the community within the organization
- Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Basic Qualifications:
- Four year Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications, or information systems
- 7+ years direct experience with Digital Asset Management Platforms, Content Management Systems, and Web Development
- Previous Supervisory experience with at least 3+ years’ experience leading team accountable for digital marketing development
