The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for building the strategy for, managing, and analyzing Rewards Network’s paid search campaigns, with an initial focus on Search Engine Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the CMO to define the firm’s SEM strategy, learning agenda, analytical framework and execution options.
  • Identify, screen, negotiate with, onboard and manage the right platforms, external vendors and/or consultants to enable the above strategy.
  • Design an efficient and scalable SEM program setup within Google Adwords and Bing Ads.
  • Develop a strategy to manage, optimize and measure bids, to help achieve a desired campaign profitability level.
  • Build a plan to meticulously test and optimize each potential performance improvement lever, e.g., keywords, copy, landing pages.
  • Help build a data and analytical infrastructure to enable the above analyses and learning agendas.
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams (UX, Content) and other parts of the organization (Product, Finance) to successfully execute both horizontal (channel-driven) and vertical (customer segment-driven) strategies, maintain consistent brand guidelines, and to ensure channel-specific learnings are dissipated across relevant teams.
  • Stay current on digital marketing best practices, search engine advertising policies, search engine algorithm updates and industry wide eCommerce trends.
  • Once SEM channel is up and running, there will be an opportunity to expand area of ownership to additional paid channels, both online and offline, e.g., paid social, display, direct mail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, of which at least 3 years were spent on managing a high performing SEM program.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Adwords, Bing Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Marin, Kenshoo, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Extended knowledge of quality score, ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
  • Experience with any of the following: paid social, display, SEO, e-mail, mobile marketing are pluses, but not mandatory.
  • Strategic thinker. Experience developing and executing your own strategy and learning agenda using historical insights, internal/external data, and marketing intuition.
  • A good enough understanding of statistics to design and analyze multi-variate tests that drive statistically significant insights. Ability to build logistic regression models and/or decision trees is a plus.
  • High level of comfort with data. Ability to identify what data is needed for a given task, and experience working both directly (e.g., SQL, Tableau) and through the organization (e.g., leveraging other data analysts) to obtain and manipulate data supporting a strategy or analysis. Experience driving actionable insights in environments where data is imperfect, partially missing, or needs to be integrated from multiple sources.
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B marketing in a technology company setting is a plus.
  • Self-starter and independent thinker requiring minimal hand-holding to drive your own agenda.
  • Ability to engage and influence the organization, both above and below your own level.
