Director of Brand Strategy and Marketing
The X Company is looking for a Director of Brand Strategy and Marketing to shape the external strategy that will position the X family of brands as the first consumer facing brand in the residential rental space. Responsible for defining, building, and positioning X as the national leader in the co-living model and launching a customer success mindset akin to SoHo House, this person is on the hook for all functions - marketing, communications, press, lead gen. - that allows X to grow our national footprint. You're the perfect person for this job if you've built a national brand before, are equal parts calculated as you are entrepreneurial and thrive in an environment with big, complex problems to tackle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee media relations and act as a day-to-day spokesperson for local and national media
- Build and elevate the X brand: look, feel, tone, story and narrative
- Develop and implement web and social media platform strategies
- Lead enterprise wide marketing strategy, from press strategy and execution to pitch deck uniformity to defining enterprise wide brand standards
- Manage and ensure brand consistency across X team and partners
- Lead member insight work to understand experience and pain points, and execute strategy to improve member satisfaction
- Create tracking methods and techniques to design re-targeting and future marketing strategy
- Manage vision and execution of X social media and website content
Requirements:
- Experienced brand builder - 3+ years of overdelivering in a branding, marketing, or communications role, preferably at a startup in early growth periods
- Actual experience building a world-class brand, not just telling someone else how to do it
- Expertise in digital marketing and innovative data-driven lead gen. work
