We're seeking a Director of Communications responsible for building, activating, and evaluating strategic marketing and communications plans and tactics. You will control the flow of information between the company and the public as well as the internal team. You will drive key company communication initiatives across internal and external channels — from PR, social media, brand and product campaigns, internal employee communications, company presentations and more. In this role, you will work collaboratively across departments to develop proactive communication campaigns aligned to CoinFlip’s vision, values and company goals. The Director is also responsible for the day-to-day management of an internal communications team as well as external agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance CoinFlip’s brand identity and broaden awareness of its products; and increase the visibility of its programs across key target audiences including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics
• Lead the development of initiatives that drive forward our corporate identity through unique communication programs, amplification of brand marketing efforts, and as a direct partner to the internal and employer brand, leadership, and marketing teams
• Become an expert in the CoinFlip voice, positioning, and messaging to drive cohesion and one voice in the market
• Oversee and contribute to the conceptualization and creation of influential and compelling content across all marketing assets, including the website, campaigns, emails, blog, social media, and public relations
• Develop, deliver, and maintain an internal communications strategy and approach that executes on the goals and desired outcomes and upholds the culture, values, and tenets of CoinFlip
• Use effective messaging to help drive long-term commitment to the vision and priorities of the firm and paint a clear picture of what it means to our team
• Track trending concerns and issues, and develop employee communications strategies and plans that help employees understand a situation, our response, and available resources and support. This includes crafting messaging, communications, presentations, talk tracks for town halls, FAQs, and other support materials
• Create and review templates that enable our Global Operations Center to communicate with and support employees at scale
• Shape and execute a global internal communications strategy that raises awareness of the outstanding initiatives and support provided by our Global Safety & Security team
• Serve as the face of the company at media events when needed
• Lead and develop the Communications team

Requirements

• 8+ years’ management experience in corporate marketing or strategic communications roles
• 6+ years' experience in marketing management and leadership roles
• Experience in highly regulated industries or high-growth/emerging markets is a plus
• 3+ years' experience in public relations
• Experienced in implementing holistic communications planning strategies
• Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills, and an ability to present complex topics in a relevant, compelling way
• Team management experience
• Ability to thrive and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with the integration of creative, paid and earned media, CRM, website content and local activations toward a singular strategic communications approach
• Track record of successful and productive relationship management with agency partners
• Experience working with international teams and programs
• Proficient public speaking abilities are an asset
