About the Role
This role is Remote.
Responsibilities
- Develop media relations by strengthening existing, and cultivating new relationships with print and online media, broadcast producers, bloggers and influencers
- Enhance public awareness of the company in mainstream consumer press outlets
- Work closely with Chief Brand Officer to build the company's external communication strategy
- Work cross-functionally with various internal teams to drive proactive campaigns in a fast-paced environment
- Organize press briefings, media sessions and events, and create press materials including media pitches, blog posts, FAQs, fact sheets, videos and photos
- Protect and enhance the reputation of the company in business and advertising markets
- Tailor all items appropriately by channel to leverage PR & communications campaigns, events and initiatives across different digital platforms
- Measure and report impact of social media content and campaigns
- Monitor the social landscape and elevate notable developments and trends to teams across the organization
- Build relationships with digital influencers, explore and experiment with new social media channels and techniques
- Educate press, bloggers and influencers about Kraken's products and initiatives to drive positive coverage in publications and across social media
- Help develop complementary visuals and videos for external communications
- Build a highly efficient team of marketing communications professionals
Requirements
- 10 years managerial experience
- Building media relationships across verticals globally
- Knowledge of Internet, technology and/or advertising PR industries
- Experience working with leadership to achieve communications goals
- Managerial experience running internal teams, PR agencies, and contractors
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
- Experience in Cryptocurrency or Blockchain
