The Director of Demand Generation will join the Chicago based marketing team and will help to build our global capabilities. As a key member of the Marketing organization, reporting to the Chief Marketing officer, this individual will play a critical role in strategy and implementation of the lead pipeline for Miller Heiman Group. As a master of inbound marketing, lead generation, digital marketing, and marketing automation you will elevate our marketing efforts to the next level. In close collaboration with the sales organization, the right individual will develop an effective mix of marketing programs that generate and engage leads at all stages of the funnel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be the head of all things lead management: from first touch to closed won – how do potential clients find us, engage with us, buy from us and then rebuy from us
  • Work as much with sales as with marketing; this individual should be extremely comfortable living in both worlds
  • Build, manage, and mature our B2B demand gen program to be best-in-class by collaborating across the organization to fill the funnel with high-quality leads that quickly convert into high- quality opportunities at the expected volumes
  • Optimize existing personas, lead-to-opportunity funnel, content marketing and thought leadership programs
  • Provide both strategy and management of SEM, SEO, email, events and webinars
  • Deliver ongoing key metrics to leadership around sales pipeline, marketing tactic efficacy and overall budget; continuously monitor program performance and take appropriate follow-up actions to ensure program success and expected business outcomes
  • Balance the investment in ROI-oriented marketing with experimentation, testing and innovation
  • Work closely with our product organization to identify opportunities to improve and grow specific lines of business; analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, methods, costs and results
  • Coordinate all efforts with three global-business-unit heads (US, EMEA, APAC) to optimize efforts, spend, and best practices across the regions


Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of marketing experience managing a demand generation programs in B2B; global experience a plus
  • Significant hands-on experience working with marketing technology tools, including Marketo (or similar technology) and Salesforce.com; certifications are strongly preferred
  • A deep understanding of all facets of inbound and outbound marketing
  • Extensive experience in lead-focused-website design, email optimization, search, ppc, social, pr and content
  • Self-starter that thrives on working in a fast-paced environment with global responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Excited by the task of building and scaling a global team and worldwide processes related to demand generation
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters preferred
