Job Description
The Director of Direct Marketing will develop and optimize direct to consumer lead generation programs for our consumer and enterprise clients. Cross sell programs to retain and grow customer relationships will also be a key focus. Channel focus includes direct mail, email, DRTV, radio and other direct to consumer acquisition channels. Key success metrics will include acquisition lead volume, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, and both short and long-term revenue.
This individual will achieve this by working closely and bridging across senior management, internal teams, direct reports, brand founders and our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the direct marketing team and the direct marketing center of excellence
- Develop & optimize existing and new direct marketing lead generation & cross sell channels
- Develop effective single touch & integrated, multi-touch direct marketing channel strategies
- Develop and foster strong working relationships across the organization to achieve company goals and priorities. Work closely with key internal teams including but not limited to Brand Development, Creative, Production, Product Development, Planning, Sourcing, Legal, Analytics, Finance and Lifecycle Marketing
- Manage internal teams, & agency/vendor relationships for creative development/execution
- Partner with analytics for response propensity and other targeting analytics
- Partner with analytics to analyze campaign funnel performance and results analysis
- Communicate direct marketing performance & priorities via monthly presentations
- Collaborate with lifecycle marketing to execute effective lifecycle performance across each segment in each vertical
- Monitor and optimize each channel’s performance
- Manage a team of channel marketing managers - Develop and coach direct report(s) to help them achieve direct marketing goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or relevant marketing experience. MBA is a Plus
- 7+ years of experience in Direct marketing
- Experience building and managing direct marketing programs
- Experience working with analytics teams on targeting and results analysis
- Superior project, time and budget management skills
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
