Who We’re Looking For

A Director of Marketing and Community who will be responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing the overall marketing strategy, including tactical implementation.  With a focus on demand generation and brand enhancement, we are searching for a leader who can drive our growth and who can tell an inspiring Victory Lap story.

This is a hands-on management role that will execute brand strategy, positioning, event execution, multi-channel campaigns, lead generation, and content strategy. This person will be data-driven with a focus on delivering highly measurable marketing impact, but will also need to have good mentorship capabilities, strong business acumen, a strategic flair for developing campaigns, the ability to craft a story, and a keen focus on measurable outcomes that drive results. We need a passionate leader who is ready to work closely with our CEO, GM,  product, recruiting, and sales teams, and deliver leads who convert to real opportunities.

List of Responsibilities

• Own development and content creation for website, client-facing newsletters, emails, blogs, webinars, research reports, sponsored content, infographics, case studies, social media posts, videos, and more

• Develop a marketing strategy to effectively position and promote the company’s solutions

• Ability to conceptualize, execute, and measure initiatives from start to finish for each channel

• Execute tactical marketing activities that support the overall strategy, like writing, editing, building frameworks for new strategies

• Create, measure and track marketing reports for greater visibility into user behavior

• Develop and execute our PR and thought leadership strategy in both existing and new markets

• Plan and execute community building strategies to create stickiness to Victory Lap’s candidate, alumni, and employer solutions

• Spearhead key events to engage customers throughout the calendar year

• Create and manage referral program driving increase in candidate and alumni referrals

• Spearheading brand message development and all media and stakeholder communications materials

• Develop and shape community initiatives designed to create connections between employers, alumni, and candidates.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills – networking, relationship-building, cross-functional team leadership

• Strong writing and editing experience, including presentations and press materials, as well as messaging, speeches and events.

• Adept understanding and usage of social media for business and brands, including blogging, and other emerging social media.

• Multi-task management, project coordination and execution, logistics and budget tracking against program goals and objectives; a framework for creative that marries against business goals and communications strategies.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience in a high growth company (prior experience launching new businesses/new markets is a plus)

• Experience with various facets of marketing including digital, content marketing, conferences, database/CRM and pitchbooks. Digital marketing certification a plus.

• Able to effectively manage and deliver on changing priorities.

• Ability to think strategically while also able to “roll up your sleeves” and do the hands-on work necessary to meet deadlines.
