Responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction for marketing activities to grow the direct-to-consumer student loans business and meet its acquisition and profitability objectives.
Create and execute marketing activities to support cross-sell, broad market and partnership programs across a variety of marketing channels (e.g., direct mail, email, online, broad media).
Directing the businesses advertising, positioning, messaging and communications strategy in order to successfully build brand awareness. Negotiates and manages agency partnerships/ consultants to further enhance and ensure cost effective marketing strategies.
Lead the business’ public website strategy, including user experience and content/functional website requirements. Lead strategy and execution of direct mail, email, internal/external communications and public relations, general advertising (e.g., direct response print, billboard, and radio), online marketing (e.g., display, affiliate networks, social media and search marketing).
Perform targeted retention and portfolio marketing. Manage, retain and develop a team of direct staff employees. Manage expense forecasting and billing to ensure quality and accuracy.
Leads baseline industry, competitive and customer research to develop a comprehensive view of target markets and marketing strategies.
Lead the business’ public websites, including user experience, design, information architecture, screen flows/use cases, content management (articles/product details), online resources (tools/calculators) and search engine optimization. Manage marketing drive calendar and coordinates marketing activities across multiple, concurrent efforts.
Identify key performance indicators, and in particularly, metrics that drive financial results. Assess the cost efficiency of strategies and improve them through optimization of campaigns
Coordinate with Operations, Digital, Technology and Law & Compliance teams to define website processes, training, communications, policies and their controls.
Responsible for all creative development - manages strategy and engagement of agencies. Accountable for brand voice, look and feel, and all prospect interactions
Balance the marketing of 10 different student loan products (Undergraduate, Graduate, MBA, Health Professions, Law, Residency, Bar Exam, Parent, Consolidation and Custom Graduate) to distinct audiences and customer needs
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related. Masters degree highly preferred
10+ years of marketing, product management, communications or related
Savvy performance marketer (channel optimization is a must) and who also has experience with branding and leading creative development
Strong analytical skills
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Track record as a trusted advisor and business partner - driving business insights, actions, and accountability, with a customer service-oriented attitude
Digital channel management experience highly preferred
