Director of Marketing

Supernova Lending, LLC (“Supernova”) is a fast-growing company providing wealth management lending SaaS solutions to financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, broker/dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, etc.).  Those institutions then are able to help their clients’ by offering a competitive and flexible liquidity solution. Our marketing team is critical to helping clients achieve their successes. We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile marketing leader with experiences in SaaS software products and digital marketing to join us in our Chicago, Illinois office.  The role reports to the Head of Sales & Marketing.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define Go-to-Market strategy for our SaaS based lending solutions. Craft the segmentation, positioning and messaging for Go-to-Market plan
  • Establish Supernova’s thought leadership in securities-based lending through creation of compelling content pieces
  • Develop and execute campaigns to help drive marketing leads as part of pipeline development
  • Create and prescribe tailored content mix by content types - sales presentations, whitepapers, articles, research papers, infographics, blogs, collateral leave behinds, webinars, and copy for digital ads, emails, videos, and the website
  • Ensure consistent execution of overall and segment-specific content, assets, through all market-facing channels, including website, account based marketing, social media, field marketing, etc.
  • Track campaign and program results through active tracking of full funnel marketing metrics (MQLs, SQLs, SAL etc.) and provide recommendations to improve program and campaign investments based on conversion rates
  • Use marketing and CRM automation to improve processes and productivity
  • Work with customers to create cases studies, client testimonials, provide trusted advice on best practices
  • Coordinate internal and external communications
  • Coordinate events/conferences as needed
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements: 

  • 8-10 years of product and content marketing experience in SaaS software/technology firms
  • Track record of successfully leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop Go-to-Market plan, and execute multi-channel marketing programs
  • Creative yet data-driven, must understand how to translate marketing metrics into opportunities for action
  • Self-starter and passion for “doing the impossible”; committed to testing, learning, and iterating
  • Previous experience partnering closely with sales teams to deliver sales enabling assets/training, having accountability for influencing sales pipeline development, and participating in client engagements
  • Passion about Fintech, financial services software and familiarity with consumer lending a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Certifications and/or experience working in an Agile environment and using Salesforce, Hubspot, Google Analytics, On24, wikis, Marketo or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required, MBA preferred

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Our vibe is really fun and energetic! It is an open spaced loft in River North. Nobody has an office and even the CEO and CTO sit in rows of desks with all of the other employees. People are always working together. We have a fridge and pantry stocked with snacks, a pool table and casual dress.

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

Supernova enables wealth management firms to offer securities-based loans, an attractive liquidity solution, to their clients. Historically, setting up SBLs was very cumbersome. Our solution not only supports competitive borrowing rates, but is also easy to use and includes robust collateral management and risk monitoring capabilities.

When we started Supernova, we wanted to create a culture of open communication and collaboration to share ideas and best practices. No one has an office. I sit with the rest of the team and purposely keep my calendar as clear as possible so I can participate and be involved in organic discussions that are often my favorite part of the day.

What projects are you most excited about?

I'm excited about being able to calculate the probability of call in our collateral management system; which combines advanced statistical analysis and financial knowledge to predict the performance of all the holdings in the collateral accounts. We want to provide the most accurate and configurable financial data to our clients.
