Director of Product Marketing

Job Description

The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for both 1) delivering product marketing programs that enable partners to deliver growth in revenue through their use of Opternative’s technology and 2) driving the brand positioning and product messaging for Opternative’s B2B technology suite. This position will work across BD, marketing and product to build scalable marketing programs and create measurable channel communications plans that drive success for Opternative and its partners.
 

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Strategy – Work closely with Business Development and Product Management to understand each of Opternative’s partners’ business objectives, needs/requirements & technology capabilities. Assist in developing and implementing partner co-marketing plans. Identify and communicate top approaches/offerings that will drive the best results and get partners to market while also continually monitoring and refining their performance as needed.
  • Joint Marketing – Create marketing engagement programs that support revenue targets and drive measurable outcomes. Deliver upon agreed marketing activities including development of joint messaging and collateral, sales readiness tools and customer success stories. Continually track, analyze and optimize program success. Implement metrics to demonstrate ROI against funding and time investments.
  • Execution – Be our partner marketing guru. From writing and revising press releases per partner brand standards, to delivering and measuring cobranded email campaigns, you will be responsible for making sure our partner marketing efforts are executed flawlessly and on schedule.
  • Marketing Events – Create, plan, and manage relevant tech partner marketing events such as webinars, enablement, workshops, trade shows and conferences.
  • Partner Acquisition – Develop demand generation campaigns to create interest from prospective technology partners.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years working in marketing for a B2B technology organization
  • Experience working on a partner marketing team (or better yet, running one)
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

  • Deep sense of ownership and strong accountability for generating measurable results
  • Strong networker and collaborative relationship builder inside and outside of the organization
  • Strong project management skills, preferably in helping partners launch co-marketing campaigns and programs. You understand the importance of syncing long term, cadence based co-marketing schedules with the business and product efforts of a partnership (sails don’t work without some wind)
  • Working knowledge of healthcare tech and healthcare marketing preferred
  • Proactive and passionate about demonstrating and driving value to external partners
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of study
  • Willing to travel to meet with partners and attend industry events
