Position Pay Range:

Pay Range may vary by geographical location

$140,839.00-$225,342.00

Summary:

The Director, Social Impact will have primary responsibility to implement the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and social impact program including governance, key initiatives, and annual reporting. This requires a strong understanding and innovative approach to community engagement, sustainability, diversity and inclusion initiatives, existing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and the integration of a comprehensive and measurable strategy into the company’s vision for long term growth.

They will further develop and implement strategic plans for engaging partners, customers, vendors, employees and communities, and shareholders to build a future oriented approach to impact and investment.

Position Details:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Guide policy development and assist with regular reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a robust structure for ongoing ESG monitoring and engagement with existing investments.
  • Facilitate engagement with issuers on ESG-related matters.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Engagement

  • Set the strategy for ESG disclosures in the company’s core public documents including the Annual Report/10-K, Proxy, and Corporate Responsibility Report
  • Lead a team of internal stakeholders and external consultants to execute an annual reporting and 3rd party verification regime.
  • Annually create and publish a Corporate Responsibility report that is aligned with the GRI, TCFD and SASB standards
  • Collaborate with Communications, Human Resources, Enterprise Risk Management, Public Relations, and other P&L functions to create a unique impact community that supports our partners, philanthropy, and other business units.

Governance and Compliance

  • Coordinate the company’s ESG Steering Committee, establishing a regular schedule of meetings, setting agendas, and coordinating follow-up items.
  • Monitor ongoing progress against the company’s public goals, maintaining an internal scorecard available to members of the executive team and ESG Steering Committee
  • Provide support for quarterly program updates to the Board’s Nominating & Corporate Governance, Audit, and Compensation Committees
  • Engage with external stakeholder groups on an as-needed basis, representing CSG’s ESG program in public forums and meetings.
  • Ensure that other annual requirements are fulfilled.
  • Provide support on other projects as needed.

Employee Engagement

  • Manage Social impact’s vendor contracting processes for engagement programs.
  • Project manage engagement programs, including board programs, skills-based volunteering, and others, as needed.
  • Review and contribute to annual reports, newsletters, and online materials.

Board Giving and Engagement

  • Support CDO in actively engaging Board members in business development
  • Maintain individual relationships with select Board members and respond to individual requests.
  • Contribute and participate in vendor management, enterprise risk and other relevant committee meetings

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevance work experience
  • Ability to develop relationships with senior leaders, as well as to collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders across the organization to support the growth of the ESG program.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills, with aptitude to convey complex concepts simply and clearly.
  • Ability to build programs initiatives and products that will provide solutions for corporate partner goals (be a business solution for our corporate partners)
  • Innovative, creative, and strong interest in executing new strategies to impact goals.
  • Proficiency translating data and analytics into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing corporate partnerships, including planning, implementation, and account management.
  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in building relationships with board members, major donors, corporate executives, and government and community agency leaders.
  • Subject matter/industry expertise on ESG and sustainability frameworks such as SASB, PRI, GRI, UN SDGs, UNGC, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience
