Overview

HumanCentric is seeking a hands-on eCommerce Manager to execute the day-to-day operational tasks of maintaining and growing our successful business on Amazon (Seller Central) and continue to develop our direct-to-consumer eCommerce business. This broad (creative and analytical) role includes researching new product opportunities, collaborating with our product development team, forecasting sales, launching new products, managing our ad spend, optimizing our listings, and more. You will have a bottom-line impact on our company performance every day.

We design and manufacture our own line of products that help customers create a well-designed and comfortable workspace in their office or home office. We ship tens of thousands of products each month to customers around the world, and are run by a small and driven team who makes it all come together.

Who We're Looking For

To be a great fit for this job, you must have...

  • 1-2 years of experience with eCommerce and Amazon Seller Central.
  • The ability to work both quickly and methodically. You create tremendous amounts of accurate, finished work much faster than other people you work with. You don't leave any "loose ends" when you finish your work.
  • An eye for and an appreciation of good design
  • An extremely analytical mind, strong Excel skills, and the ability to quickly learn new software programs when needed.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to tackle large tasks with ease.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extremely good organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
  • The desire to work in a lean, small-company environment.
  • A bachelor's degree and at least one year of post-college professional experience is required. Internships do not count.

Had you been with us last month, you would have....

  • Marketplace Management / Merchandising
    • Managed the Amazon marketplace (Seller Central) for 150+ SKUs to maintain profitability, sales growth, and positive customer experiences
    • Led product launches and new product creation by creating or collaborating with external contractors to develop creative assets such as photography, 3D renderings, infographics, video and copywriting
    • Worked alongside operations and finance to provide sales forecasting accounting for changes based on seasonality and advertising
    • Responded to any customer inquiries and requests for bulk purchases
    • Headed monthly unit profitability reporting and sales trend reporting, and analyzed advertising metrics to identify areas to improve efficiency of marketing spend
  • Advertising Management
    • Optimized our existing Amazon sponsored product, sponsored brand, and video campaigns and created new ones
    • Managed our advertising software by determining target ad spend and developing product groupings for cost-effective spending
    • Identified and tested Amazon promotions such as coupons, deals, and pricing discounts
  • New Product Development
    • Conducted search term analysis and qualitative market research to identify new product opportunities
    • Drafted feature requirements for new products and estimated sales rate, price point, and advertising spend to determine cost targets
    • Acted as the voice of the customer through the product development cycle by evaluating the user experience of prototypes, the clarity of instruction manuals, and the customer’s packaging experience

  • Be a critical part of launching dozens of new products designed from the ground up by the HumanCentric engineering and design team.
  • Train new hires as the team continues to grow.
