Email Marketing Specialist
FourKites is seeking an experienced email marketer to help us accelerate our demand generation efforts. You will be an integral part of the planning, development and execution of marketing plans and expected to develop and track email campaigns to ultimately increase our marketing success.
This role will be responsible for end to end email campaign management using the marketing automation platform, Pardot. A successful candidate will be an independent worker who is detail oriented and highly organized. Quick learners who are comfortable working independently as well as in a fast- paced team will thrive.
Main duties include understanding business initiatives and translating them to email marketing campaigns/actions, planning and building automated email marketing campaigns and reporting on campaign performance. Additional responsibilities include but aren’t limited to creating landing pages from templates and forms to capture visitor information as well as some social media marketing management.
Responsibilities
- Performs day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
- Campaign optimization of email components - subject line, templates, content, audience, cadence, promotion, etc.
- Aids in the analysis of email marketing initiatives (campaign results/effectiveness, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
- Stays up-to-date on and recommends email marketing best practices with coding, design and testing of email campaigns.
- Provides recommendations to manager on Outbound marketing programs. Participates with manager in developing strategic direction.
- Troubleshoots technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required.
- Open to taking on other tasks based on experience and bandwidth
Qualifications
- BS/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience in marketing, preferably in the logistics industry or with B2B marketing experience
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working with an ESP (Constant Contact, MailChimp or the like), ideally experience using Pardot or a similar marketing automation tool
- Demonstrates a strong drive for efficiency, resolving problems and getting the work done in a timely, quality-focused manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
- A resourceful and detail-oriented personality with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects independently
- Strong project management, verbal and written communication skills
Additional Skills (preferred)
- Deep knowledge of email best practices and domestic CAN-SPAM laws
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired
- Solid computer skills, including marketing software (Pardot, Adobe Creative Suite & Salesforce CRM) and applications (Google Analytics)
- Experience in all areas of email campaigns (list hygiene, audience selection, creative and messaging, subject line optimization, marketing and trigger/transactional communications)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to be deep in the data and to distill executive-level insights
