The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for facilitating new creative efforts within lifecycle marketing channels. Additionally, you will manage the end-to-end process for launching weekly marketing campaigns, participating with conception through to reporting/analysis. This role includes both planning and hands-on execution and responsibilities will expand as expertise is developed, with the opportunity for growth within the broader Lifecycle Marketing team.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end execution for email campaigns and automations by participating in the development of the creative and testing strategies and owning the deployment of the email (including coding, QA, send and post-send performance reporting)
- Manage a cross-channel campaign launch and promotional calendar
- Report on the performance of campaigns, providing insight on the results that can inform iterative testing and campaign strategy
- Project manage and act as the primary liaison between the brand marketing/creative and lifecycle marketing teams: develop creative briefs, provide feedback based on email best practices, leveraging insights from prior campaigns and general knowledge of the Home Chef product, and communicating deadlines to stakeholders as appropriate
- Assist in developing the A/B testing roadmap for all user cohorts, leveraging insights from customer data, testing results and competitive/industry trends
- Routinely audit creative to ensure the content remains evergreen and that the Home Chef product is being accurately and effectively messaged
- Provide recommendations and insights to facilitate the ongoing optimization of creative assets and strategies within the lifecycle marketing portfolio
- Help build the strategy and execute in all lifecycle marketing channels (e.g. email, push, FB, display, direct mail, and other developing channels)
- Be a resource for other internal stakeholders to assist them in: creating briefs for cross-functional efforts in lifecycle-owned channels, working within the campaign processes, and ensuring all deliverables are accounted for and on-time

- 1+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing or a related field
- 2+ years experience in HTML/CSS (responsive coding a plus)
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with email best practices preferred
- Experience with enterprise level ESPs (Salesforce/ExactTarget preferred)
- Process oriented with strong attention to detail
- Exhibit curiosity and be strongly self motivated to better understand new technology, new products, the Home Chef customer, and competitive trends
- Ability to be a creative problem solver
- Familiarity with or desire to work with customer data through identifying engagement or purchasing trends in subsets of customer cohorts is preferred
