Your Job
We are looking for an experienced Events Manager who is excited by the challenge of delivering innovative programs across our 6 markets. As a member of the events team, you will partner with our sales and marketing teams and other key stakeholders (Product, Design, Operations) to execute on results-oriented customer acquisition and retention focused events as well as larger community events.
You will be responsible for program/process management, logistics oversight and execution, internal communication, client communications, and vendor management. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic growth stage company and not afraid to roll up your sleeves to do what it takes to get the job done.
While there is no such thing as a typical day, you can expect to help us in the coordination of Built In events. Examples of things you might do include:
- Event planning and execution
- Execute events from initial timeline preparation to day-of execution
- Experienced tracking burn rates and settling events with a history of staying in budget
- Create process to ensure all event details are being addressed in a timely manner
- Negotiate venue and vendor agreements
- Coordinate day-of execution including staff, volunteers and vendors, both onsite and remotely
- Develop all supporting documents, i.e. networking guides, event briefs, handouts, layouts, etc.
- Marketing
- Create event pages on Eventbrite, Facebook and Meetup
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure ticket sales and promotions are on track
- Sales
- Experienced collaborating with Sales teams
- Coordinate objectives and deliverables within each market
Your Background
- You have 5+ years of successful event management experience planning customer centric events, preferably in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment
- You have experience working with event management software such as Eventbrite, Meetup pages, etc.
- You have experience creating room layouts
- You have concrete knowledge of social media promotion and tracking
- You have build and maintain relationships with our vendors and customers swith ease
- You have superior customer service experience and understand the importance of responding to customers within 24 hours
- You must be highly organized and results oriented with a history of planning multiple events at once.
- You don’t get frazzled easily
- You understand what the “devil is in the details” means
