As the Events Specialist, you will manage various types of targeted events focused on recruiting, customer acquisition, and product user groups, specifically our Study Hall series of half-day workshops around the globe. You are an experienced, highly organized team member who enjoys pulling together the logistics for an event. You feel comfortable developing a clear strategy and pushing to achieve specific objectives, and can bring your passion and planning expertise to make all of our events successful.

What your day could consist of:

• Work with event manager to own events from conception, through planning and execution
• Manage event logistics, working closely with vendors such as caterers, service providers, A/V, decorators, etc.
• Participate in the strategic planning process for meetings and events, including identifying event objectives and constructing initial budgets
• Vendor and venue sourcing/selection, management and supervision
• Manage budget, track and report expenditures, and reconcile event billing
• Monitor timelines for multiple events, including sponsorship deliverables, payment schedules, communication deadlines, etc.
• Assist in trade show booth creation & set-ups
• Review event communication (microsites, invitations, emails) for information accuracy
• Contribute to post-event reports and debriefs

What we're looking for:

• 2-3 years of experience in managing operations for trade shows, conferences, workshops and user meet-ups
• Ability to show successful execution of past events (online or through printed materials)
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Deadline-oriented with attention to detail and process
• Must develop familiarity with the ActiveCampaign platform (and MarTech landscape)
• Possess strategic-planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Must be highly collaborative and transparent
• Able to work independently and accomplish goals with little supervision
• Must be able to move and lift boxes occasionally
• Bachelor’s Degree in related subject preferred
