Our Marketing team takes our diverse businesses to market - positioning our brands with consumers, translating that to engaging marketing actions, delivering an extraordinary experience that connects them to our merchants and in turn drives business growth.
Working under the VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for crafting brand initiatives internally and externally and ensuring a leadership position in the marketplace. These initiatives will range from brand campaign development (offline media, online media, owned channels) to brand and identity management to sponsorships and promotions.

You’ll spend time on the following:
Participating in the marketing planning process; helping shape the value proposition, positioning, target definition and brand strategy to achieve our company mission
Running the Groupon branded portfolio and being a driving force in our goal for new customer acquisition
Defining and communicating key brand messages across all consumer touch-points
Developing a clear, comprehensive and easy to use brand and message guide for the company
Taking ownership over brand guidelines and collaborating with the design and copy teams in having these implemented across all communication channels
Leading integrated brand/retail campaigns by working cross-functionally with Groupon teams, including offline advertising, online marketing, onsite, CRM and PR
Working with the research and marketing analytics team on the measurement of key initiatives centered around our customer health
Conducting and analyzing internal and external data/research to discover competitive advantages
Identifying, interpreting, and capitalizing on marketing and consumer trends
Partnering with external agencies
We’re excited about you if you have:
8+ years of dynamic experience, with 5+ years of experience in agency or client side having successfully led best-in-class brands
A bachelor's degree in marketing; MBA preferred
In-depth knowledge of research and consumer insights, ecommerce, online and social marketing
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Groupon brand, the competition, and the local commerce category
You’re a polished yet scrappy, entrepreneurial self-starter who can oversee multiple projects at a time and drive them to completion effectively in a high energy, dynamic company environment
Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and creatively
Flexible and open to change and new ideas
You're savvy with excel (SQL preferred) and possess strong prioritization, organization, and analytical skills
Experience working with agencies and internal partners
Ability to work closely and effectively with others in a way that promotes teamwork
