Role Summary
The CBD market is exploding, predicted to climb from $5B to $24B in 2023. With new brands entering the space every day, competitive differentiation, aggressive omni-channel distribution, and best-in-class retention marketing will set the winners apart. Equilibria has already carved out an exceptional head start and is seeking a confident, visionary, data-driven leader to run all aspects of digital marketing — from acquisition to funnel analytics & optimization, to customer journey & retention. As a high-growth, recurring revenue, premium CBD company for women, Equilibria has delivered high double-digit monthly growth since launch, and is positioned to continue this exciting trajectory. This role will report directly to our Co-Founder and CEO, and should have deep experience managing a cross-functional marketing team and ruthless media budget/ unit economic exigence.
Role Specifics
The Head of Digital Marketing will drive explosive growth for Equilibria, overseeing all areas of Equilibria’s digital marketing plan to hit aggressive 50% MoM revenue goals:
Collaborating with founders on brand identity and evolution
Paid Media Management: display & retargeting on cannabis-friendly web sites, radio/podcast, outdoor, ad network, cross-promotion, featured promotion, etc. (+ social once CBD is allowed to use FB/IG/etc. ad platforms in the very near future)
Influencer Marketing Management & Optimization, Collaboration with Head of Business Development to allocate budget and efforts across new and existing Influencer partners
Manage all social media marketing and content teams to grow followership and engagement through organic channels (social, blog, SEO, etc),. Content Creation & Calendar Management, including developing limited edition seasonal merchandise campaigns with their own 360-degree marketing plans
Strategize and execute launches (via popups and private “movers/shakers”in-home salons) in key target market cities, collaborating with Head of Business Development
Build out Equilibria’s member Community with digital forums for members to share experience and personal journeys
Marketing Automation/Email Strategy & Execution
Customer Journey & Funnel Analytics
Product Marketing including Referral
Qualifications
5-10 years leadership role in multi-disciplinary digital marketing roles in digitally-native consumer-centric companies
People leadership experience a must as this role will manage in-house teams as well as PR/Influencer agency (at least 3 direct reports required in previous positions)
Must have demonstrable experience with hypergrowth, taking a company from the $1M stage to the $10M stage and beyond.
