The Head of Product Marketing will oversee the entire Product Marketing function, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role encompasses all product-centric strategies including all go-to-market activities and deployment, reinforcing ActiveCampaign’s commitment to a customer- and product-first organization. This role prioritizes go-to-market investments, messaging and positioning with a global mindset. This person will also partner closely with the Product Management organization to ensure clean hand off and partnership to ensure optimal market positioning and product knowledge throughout the organization and externally.

What your day could consist of:

  • This role expands beyond the products themselves and helps tell the story of the company, solutions, and services. It will also work with our people team to give an external voice to our employees, including sharing how AC has used AC to maximize customer experience.
  • Identify, describe, segment and target the various persona customer bases, on a global basis via a defined framework that you create.
  • Optimize repeatable use cases.
  • Work closely with the Performance Marketing team to inform and optimize demand gen and acquisition investments and decisions.
  • Ensure optimal positioning, timeliness and marketing materials for all new product and feature roll outs. 
  • Work with Enablement teams to ensure all tools and materials are successfully deployed and delivered.
  • Partner effectively with the Communications teams to ensure audience cohesion and delivery of messaging in a timely basis.
  • Manage ongoing product and market input and feedback with feedback loops to the Product and Engineering organization.
  • Partner with Product teams to develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive product and go to market strategies that inform and optimize business strategy.
  • Continuously ensure regional and global marketing trends and competitive analysis result in product differentiation or modifications, as needed.
  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships within the Marketing organization and across the broader organization. Develop strong working relationships with Product Management, Engineering. Sales, Product Support, and Customer Success to foster a cohesive and innovative understanding of customers and their needs.
  • Develop, instill and progress a customer-centric culture within the Product Marketing organization.
  • Build a strong team of product marketing professionals who are passionate, committed and dedicated to the ActiveCampaign customer base. 
  • Mentor, lead, and provide feedback to the product marketing team, ensuring high-performance, career development and a healthy work environment. 
  • Stay proactively involved in the product marketing industry (and SaaS industry overall) to ensure ongoing awareness of product, competitive and industry developments and trends. 
  • Be a thought leader and active participant internally and externally, spreading knowledge and awareness.

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years experience in B2B marketing organizations, within a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Martech experience is ideal
  • Familiarity with the pragmatic or other product marketing framework
  • Experience with high volume customer acquisition and self-service solutions
  • Experience in a rapidly scaling company and customer environment
  • Understanding of persona-based product marketing
  • Experience with sales enablement software
  • A global product marketing point of view and expertise
  • SMB customer focus, customer-centric mentality
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with customer-facing teams
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated commitment to mentoring, coaching, and leadership that empowers progressive teams, while gaining the respect from cross functional teams
  • Ability to set strategy but willingness to dive into details with the team
