What You'll Do: 

The Industry Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Uptake industry solutions to market from definition to launch. You will be responsible for defining and executing integrated go-to-market strategies and launch roadmaps in major industrial sectors. You will educate sales teams and equip them with enablement tools for them to successfully prospect, engage, and win business. You will drive new revenue by educating the market, designing and executing campaigns, and creating demand for Uptake solutions. You are a results-driven enterprise software product marketing leader with a track record of successfully launching and maintaining SaaS solutions in major industries such as Energy and Oil & Gas. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to define and design how we go to market with specific industry solutions and offerings, and communicate them to prospective customers and stakeholders
  • Engage with the market and prospective customers and develop collateral that educates them about how Uptake’s products, platform, and solutions deliver value in their industry
  • Develop positioning and messaging that effectively differentiates Uptake’s product portfolio from competitors in specific markets
  • Build and execute high-impact marketing campaigns including promotions, offers, and online/offline content that are aligned to buyers’ journeys and designed to create market awareness, generate buyer interest, and convert to purchase
  • Capture market research and persona insights to drive solution/product direction and roadmap
  • Partner with teammates in Marketing and Communications groups to create, organize, and deliver collateral and campaigns
  • Bring familiarity with our target markets, including a laser focus on our buyer’s journey
  • Travel as needed to support sponsorships, clients, and partners

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in marketing, product marketing, solution marketing, or integrated campaign experience in enterprise SaaS products or solutions
  • Experience developing and executing industry go-to-market strategies
  • Experience managing and creating the whole spectrum of sales and marketing tools and collateral (websites, presentations, sell sheets, white papers, case studies, demos, and training materials) to communicate our value proposition to customers and partners
  • Expertise in translating technical content and product information into useful materials for non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative mindset, and proven success fostering internal/external relationships
  • Strong project management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills—especially a strong ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to influence both up and across at a super-charged high growth company

Preferred

  • BS/MS or advanced degree, with a preferred concentration in Marketing, Business, Communications, Science, Technology, or Engineering
  • Experience and domain expertise in at least one of the following key industrial areas for Uptake: Agriculture, Energy, Construction, Chemicals, Mining, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing
  • Experience in IoT, Big Data, and Analytics -- especially in the industrial verticals
  • Passion for tackling big challenges through teamwork to achieve measurable results

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
