Job Description
Responsible for managing marketing programs and initiatives that increase acceptance, product adoption, and grow volume for the network. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities
- Provides feedback on opportunities to enhance partnerships.
- Assists in implementing strategies to provide quality customer experience for network clients.
- Maintains and enhances the value propositions for acceptance.
- Tracks key performance indicators and updates leadership.
- Creates and manages programs to drive acceptance and product adoptions.
- Support PULSE (Sales, Marketing and FI Enablement teams) on management of third-party debit issuers, to drive maintenance and expansion of Discover Debit program
- Support Network Solutions team on external on custom go-to market program launches for strategic clients
- Partner with external clients to develop compelling value propositions, distinctive marketing communications assets and education to support new strategic partnership programs in the marketplace
- Cross-collaborate with members of Global Marketing to create merchant acceptance readiness campaign activities in key markets
- Lead day-to-day relationship with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues (merchant complaints) when they arise
- Create and present reporting to managed debit issuer accounts that summarize key metrics providing insight into overall performance/health
- Produce and socialize internal reporting to showcase overall program health and improvement opportunities to key members of the PULSE and DGN leadership teams
- Partner with Global Brand (digital team) to create best in class debit and strategic partner (Network Solutions) awareness and lead generation campaigns; acting as a thought leader at times to make recommendations on opportunities for improvement
- Partner with Global Brand (Content team) to develop compelling content strategies that position Discover as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the debit and Network solutions space
- Develop and maintain working relationships with key internal cross-functional business partners including: Legal, Discover Card marketing, Operations, Products and Innovation, Global Business Development, Strategic Merchant Relations, Analytics, and other external agencies and vendors
- Assume other Marketing responsibilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Sciences, Business, Technology, Quantitative fields, Computer Science, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Business, Marketing, Management, Brand Communications, Project Management, Integrated Marketing, Advertising, Payments Services, or related field
- In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Business, Marketing, Management, Brand Communications, Project Management, Integrated Marketing, Advertising, Payments Services, or related field
Preferred Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in Business, Marketing, Management, Brand Communications, Project Management, Integrated Marketing, Advertising, Payments Services, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter, entrepreneurial and able to work with limited direction
- Strong relationship building skills - builds credibility with all stakeholders as reliable, accurate, and resourceful conduit to ensure accurate and timely execution of information
- High detail and coordination skills required; able to accurately exchange/ track with high volumes of data and manage timely status updates with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Ability and desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and willingness to be flexible and shift priorities as needed
