Groupon is building the daily habit in local commerce, offering a vast mobile and online marketplace where people discover and save on amazing things to do, see, eat and buy. We have embarked on a journey to reinvent the way we develop a consumer’s lifecycle and journey with Groupon. We are seeking a seasoned marketer to help usher in that change by driving greater loyalty, foster deeper relationships, and increase revenue and LTV amongst Groupon’s consumers.

 

As the Marketing Manager, Retention Strategy, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing the Consumer Retention Management strategy for our active consumer base identifying unmet needs and ideating solutions to drive loyalty and retention

  • Initiate projects and influence a wide cross-functional team that will execute the programs

  • Create portfolio of customer lifecycle management offerings for key consumer segments with emphasis on driving retention and loyalty, and establish the business cases to support funding

  • Partnering with other marketing channels, business teams and senior leadership to provide strategic direction, establish program priorities, and build/present roadmaps to achieve Consumer Lifecycle Marketing goals

  • Track, analyze and communicate key metrics

 

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Lifecycle Marketing, with demonstrated capability in the following areas:

  • 5+ years of experience in Consumer Lifecycle Marketing, with strong understanding of Consumer Lifecycle Marketing concepts

  • You have designed and executed marketing or consumer facing programs with a focus on consumer retention

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders across product, engineering, operations, finance, and marketing teams to deliver integrated, consumer-facing solutions

  • Storytelling - to illuminate a vision, opportunity, business case, and/or business output

  • Developing deep business insights through dashboards and via spreadsheet models

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to be deep in the data and to distill executive-level insights

  • Willingness to get hands dirty to extract/analyze data and execute programs

  • Bachelor's Degree
