We’re looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join our Integrated Business Planning team in Chicago, IL. 

Our ideal candidate has an interest in business performance management and analyzing market data and internal data to synthesize a forecast that ensures high customer fill rates and lean internal inventory positions. This person must be able to synthesize large disparate datasets and concisely communicate their findings and key implications across the organization. This person must be organized with strong analytical skills, clear communicator, and intellectually humble.

General Functions + Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate market inputs (i.e. Consumption Data, Insights, Cannibalization, Seasonality) into the demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation to refine baseline & portfolio changes
  • Own the holistic view of demand plan by aggregating inputs from our channel forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Participate in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. Own the ledger of opportunities, risks, and gaps to financial goal
  • Work across Customer Supply Chain, Sales, and external customers to develop a deep understanding of customer inventory expectations
  • Lead optimization of the design & implementation of complex forecasting model using syndicated sales data, inventory data, shipment data, and pricing data
  • Provide demand planning perspective & collaborate cross-functionally to implement Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system with Demand Planning
  • Report forecast performance KPI’s and conduct required analysis to determine root cause and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ad-hoc special projects related to forecasting, business performance management & IBP 

Skills + Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, economics, mathematics, business administration, or related field
  • 7 to 10 years demand planning or business performance management experience
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional skills
  • Logical approach to problem solving, analytics, planning, and the ability to flex between a “big picture” understanding a detailed analysis
  • Fluent in synthesizing large and disparate datasets to identify key implications and to then tell a story of your findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing presentation
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Knowledge and proficiency of key operational systems (i.e. ERP, TPM, Demand Planning) a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort building dynamic models in excel and translating findings into actions or decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Highly adaptable and resourceful
  • Self-starter who is extremely result and detail oriented
  • Intellectually humble; Able to accept and provide candid feedback
