Position Summary:
Rocket Travel, Inc., a subsidiary of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to join the marketing team to lead strategy and execution of our email, push notification and in-product messaging for recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
The ideal candidate will be the right balance of creative and analytical, enthusiastic about both brainstorming our next lifecycle campaign and measuring its performance. This is an exciting opportunity to own and execute the full scope of lifecycle marketing for our web and mobile products, including gathering user insights and data, designing creatives, launching tests, analyzing results, and itering on new touch points to engage our users across channels. We’re a fast-paced and results-oriented team and are looking for someone who can jump right in, think on their feet, and isn’t afraid to ask questions.
This role will join the marketing team in our West Loop, Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the lifecycle marketing strategy for Rocketmiles and our airline and loyalty partners, by designing and executing on new touchpoints that enhance our user’s journey and generate incremental revenue for Rocket.
- Strategically segment our audiences to deliver timely, relevant and effective marketing communications.
- Design eye-catching, on-brand triggered emails that engage readers and effectively convey our value proposition.
- Hone your analytical abilities to develop testing and measurement plans and work collaboratively with our product, revenue and data science teams to design experiments and improve revenue, retention, loyalty and LTV.
- Become a resident expert on our users, and work with our product team to align marketing communications, design and feature roadmaps to solve to our user’s pain points and drive conversion.
- Analyze, report on and be constantly driving toward our lifecycle marketing KPIs, such as bookings, gross margin and customer conversion.
- Thoughtfully prioritize marketing opportunities by impact and effort.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Design, or a related field required
- 1-2 years experience in email or digital marketing
- Command of the English language and able to communicate effectively. Spanish and Portuguese a plus.
- Design aptitude: Ability to execute on assets for email, landing pages and web placements (with the help of our design team). Copywriting skills a plus.
- Strong analytical skills: the ability to gather, analyze, synthesize, summarize, and present data.
- Effective at finding creative solutions to challenging problems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to many different areas of the business. Ability to switch gears quickly
- Beginner knowledge of HTML and CSS and a willingness and aptitude to learn advanced skills such as JSON and SQL preferred
- Comfortable working in Excel, Sketch/Photoshop, and an ESP such as Mandrill, Sendgrid, or Iterable
- Thrives working in a fast-paced, agile environment where team members have autonomy to champion ideas or tests to optimize our products and workflows. Experience in tech or startups a plus, but not necessary.
