Position Purpose
The Retail Digital Experience Innovation and Testing Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Retail Digital Experience and be responsible for leading a portfolio of retail ideas through the innovation development and testing process to system implementation. This individual will have the opportunity to impact the retail strategy balancing the risk and return for the company. Additionally, this individual will be action oriented and motivated to work in a complex business environment across multiple departments.

Principal Accountabilities
In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage the development, execution, and testing of retail innovation concepts across multiple consumer touchpoints and digital channels
• Work with the Media, CRM and Data team to ensure all retail digital innovation is aligned with business and marketing priorities
• Understanding of how consumer data and insights drive the development of effective innovation concepts
• Develop and validate retail concepts that deliver on key consumer needs and align to the brand and marketing strategies
• Develop a robust pipeline of disruptive retail innovation that drives incremental and profitable growth
• Provide thought leadership and ongoing inspiration for business building platforms for long term, sustained growth
• Work within a diverse, cross-functional team through the innovation process, considering strategic, consumer, brand, technology and business viability
• Manage the innovation metrics and business KPIs that support overall profitability in partnership with our Business Insights team
• Understanding of consumer shopper navigation and user-experience within a retail environment
• Assist in building internal innovation capabilities and help to shape a culture of creativity and innovative thinking
• Ability and confidence to lead internal teams, agency, vendors and partners
• Lead projects to meet milestones on time, and to deliver with high quality and within established budgets
• Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure team members have the tools needed and provide timely feedback
• Proven experience in innovation management – proposes and executes plans that add value and create competitive advantage based on knowledge of how the business works

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or related Field
• 5 + years of brand marketing experience with proven innovation success; either new product development, creation of new business models, start-up experience or other entrepreneurial ventures (food industry experience preferred)
• 2 + years financial/budgeting experience
• Ability to travel up to 30%
• Exceptional computer skills: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, word, excel), presentation development
• Effective communication and project management skills are also important
• Strong business acumen and passion for the business intelligence data
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask/prioritize
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
• Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate
